So you want to know more about me? I live in Sierra Vista, Arizona, with my husband & one of our three children. I am a transplanted Yankee (originally from the Finger Lakes area of NYS) who spent twelve years in north Alabama, lived two and a half years in Tallahassee, Florida, and then moved to Arizona in October of 2009. Who knows how long we’ll be here as we follow the job market!
My family has enjoyed the freedom of home education since 1996. We began with quite a structured learning format, but quickly discovered that unschooling fit our learning styles better. We’ve transitioned from elementary level to high school to college, graduated three children in the process and sending two of them to college. While I may no longer be an active homeschooling mom, I am a homeschooling grandmother, as our daughter is homeschooling her daughter (our only grandchild) back in Tallahassee. Our next generation unschooler!
I moderate a weekly IRC homeschool chat and maintain LeapingFromTheBox.com, a homeschooling / unschooling website. In addition, I have two other blogs: Musings, Mischief and Mayhem, which is my personal blog, and My NASCAR Race Blog. I also love to crochet, read and write and am learning to clog!
